Best for anxious dogs
my dog has always had bad separation anxiety. He is 15 years old now. he can be so restless and anxious. I just bought this about a week ago. it is INCREDIBLE. I just place it on him when he is laying down or if we are traveling in his carrier bag and he calms down immediately. it’s as if it hypnotizes him to sleep. being able to have my dog calm and relaxed has been such a great gift !

Sleeping through the night!
This plushie was really great for our new puppy. From the first day we got him, he has slept through the nights and taken great naps. It stays warm for a very long time and the heartbeat is realistic. Easy to turn on and off. Very lightweight and good for puppies or any type of dog. Even through teething, it is still intact and he has not made any rips or holes. Would recommend for any dog or cat owner, as my cat even tried sleeping with it!

GET IT!
We love it! Our puppy cried for 3 nights in her kennel after leaving her litter, and this was the first thing that helped her settle. She snuggles right up to it and finally slept through the night. It really calms her and makes her feel secure. Total game changer for new puppies. Very good, strong material too!

Great comfort for puppies — but important safety note
My Pomeranian puppy loved this snuggle pup. It really helped her settle during her first nights away from her littermates, especially since she’s tiny, came from a warmer climate, and is in her “monkey stage” with very little coat. The warmth and heartbeat were a huge comfort.I did buy the “special edition” for the lighter color, though the higher price felt a bit steep since it’s just a color change.Safety tip: The heating pads for this toy are the same type of disposable hand warmers you can buy in bulk for much less. You can also use small ice packs in warmer months. However, both warmers and ice packs can be dangerous if punctured. If your puppy is a chewer—or you’re not sure yet—supervise closely. If you see any chewing, discontinue using warmers or ice packs immediately.For non‑chewers who just want to snuggle, this product works wonderfully and makes the transition to a new home much easier.

Transition Must Have!
I was so skeptical that this would work, but gave it a try and so glad i did. My golden slept so soundly her first 2 nights and favors this just as much if not a little more than the stuffy with her mother’s scent. She loves to lay her head right on top of it or snuggle up along side it. Transitioning to crate is 100x easier with this product.

Got us through the first night
I got my puppy yesterday and this is, so far, the best thing I purchased. He wrestles with it and sleeps against it. He slept through the night which I totally did not expect. The toy is bigger than he is and that make the whole thing just that much cuter. I have a feeling I will be going through a lot of batteries but I think it’s completely worth it.The toy is soft and so far has taken the little guys teeth with no tearing. I’ll update further if he manages to rip it open or anythingUpdate: No tearing and I did put in a hand warmer overnight to see how that worked. It made the toy warm enough to the touch to be comforting but not too hot. I’m not sure my puppy noticed or cared and I haven’t done it since. He loves to wrestle with this and sleeps next to or on top of it whenever it’s nap time.Update May 2017 — He loves this toy, he still sleeps with it every night. It hasn’t had a heartbeat or the warmer in years but it is still his go to sleep toy. It goes with him to boarding and on every trip. He still has the original stuffy though it doesn’t have ears or eyes anymore. I had to wash it once due to an explosion in the crate, with a lot of bleach, and it fared very well. He wasn’t sure about it for a few days as it didn’t smell right anymore, but he soon fell in love with it again. Im very impressed with the quality as this has lasted three plus years of pretty constant mauling.Five Year Update: He still loves this toy. I keep considering getting a new one and swapping them out but it’s held up surprisingly well.Seven Year Update: My neighbors got a puppy and she just cried the whole first night in the crate. I got her one of these and the difference is amazing. She hears the heartbeat and goes directly into her crate!I broke down and got my dog another one, even though this is a big pricey for the size of toy. He is in love. He has spent hours cuddling with this in the past two days. I put up a pic of the old one vs new one. I finally washed the old one and it’s better, but he LOVES the new one. I was being sentimental as it was the toy I had with me when I picked him up from the breeder, but apparently he doesn’t care. I will be getting more, possibly yearly, as he destroys them.

Never take a puppy home without one!
This is a must for new puppies. I took a Snuggle Puppy with me when I picked up our labrador puppy at 7 weeks old. The breeder rubbed it on the mother’s back a few times for us to capture her mother’s scent and we were off for a two hour ride home. She slept the whole way home on top of her puppy and slept for 5 hours the first night with just a few whimpers at the half-way mark. The ride home and a new environment really wore her out. By the third night and every night since, both my puppy and I have gotten a good night’s sleep (7 hours then 9+ hours)! I think the heart beat and heating pack, along with her mother’s scent, made her transition to our house go so smoothly. Both the heating packs and heart beat worked as advertised. I never replaced the battery in the hearbeat but stopped using that after a week or so when I was confident her bedtime routine was solid. Now at 14 weeks, she will take the puppy out of her kennel to play with and most nightes uses it as a pillow. The snuggle puppy is well-constructed and shows no signs of wear and tear. The tail has been chewed on daily and is still there. I could have an easy puppy but would never bring home another puppy without a Snuggle Puppy. Our nighttime temperatures will be below zero this week so I will stick a heating pack in Snuggle Puppy to help keep our puppy comfortable. Snuggle Puppy is the best invention to help a new puppy transition to their forever home.

Mixed feelings
I got this for my puppy when I took him home at 8 weeks, and he is now 5 months. I think it did help him for the early stages of his nighttime crate training, because when I’d look on the camera I saw him laying his head on top of it. When the snuggle puppy was in the wash, my puppy would cry more than usual unless he had a replacement stuffed animal. So while helpful, I’m not necessarily sure that the heartbeat in the toy is what he likes, or just stuffed animals in general. I’m glad to have gotten it, just in case, but I do have critiques.It’s not very durable, and I’ve had to repair it a few times. He does really love his snuggle puppy, but I don’t think he sees it any differently than his other soft toys – he wants to play with it and rip its head off too.It’s kind of….not cute. It could be much cuter. The price is way too high for this thing.I will say, I’ve accidentally put it through the washing machine and dryer twice with the heart still inside the pouch, so the Velcro is really pretty strong lol.It was an ok purchase, and it’s been cute to see him grow so much larger than it.

One of the first things we bought when we got our new pup!!!
So 15 years we had one of these (not sure if it was the same exact brand/etcetera) for our bloxer (boxer/bulldog mix) pup, and he couldn’t sleep without it…and neither could his bulldog “brother” who came along 4 years later. Sadly, the bloxer passed in 2016 and his “brother” just last year. Shortly after our bully passed, we got another bulldog pup…I immediately searched for a heartbeat toy, remembering how much those two loved the old one. I was not disappointed!! This one was perfect, especially for a 8wk bulldog to snuggle. Everything about it – the size was as if it was almost a momma for the pup, the toy itself felt soft and cuddly, not scratchy at all…I almost wanted to cuddle it. The pulse of the “heartbeat” was firm but not overpowering. The “heart” does have to be in the right place to be felt though. Sometimes, I couldn’t tell if it was on or not without “surgery” to find the heart, if the heart wasn’t in the right spots. The coloring of the dog matched the description perfectly. I never detected any kind of odor, even right after opening, so I was not scared to give it directly to my pup (sometime you never know with stuffies). We used it again for his sister 6mths later, who is a bit of a wild child (seriously…I call her a demon, in love of course!), and the toy has even survived her, so this thing is quite sturdy! If/when we get a new pup, and if I can still find it (assuming she hasn’t found a way to destroy it…) we will use it again (or probably get another!).

Very happy with my purchase
Well, we got a new puppy! Yeah!! Then night rolled around and we put the puppy in his kennel and he cried all night long. No one slept a wink those first few nights. I know some people say to get an old style clock and the ticking sound will comfort the puppy. I never really liked that idea because I was worried that the puppy would break the clock and accidentally swallow a piece of it. I happened upon this Snuggle Puppy and thought it was worth a try and seemed less risky than a clock. Well, let me tell you… he loves his puppy! I guess it didn’t help that he was from a littler of 13 but having a “puppy” with a heartbeat that he could rest his head on actually made him feel better.I’m very happy I decided to give this little guy a try.If you found this review helpful please click “yes” below so I know I’m not wasting my time writing these reviews.
